Software Test Engineer – Test Automation
Job Overview
RTAC is seeking a Software Test Engineer to help deliver stable, reliable, and high-quality software applications. The role involves designing test scenarios, developing automated checks, validating application behavior, and working with engineering teams to identify issues before release.
Responsibilities
Analyze software requirements and translate them into test scenarios and validation plans.
Develop and maintain automated tests for web applications using Playwright.
Perform mobile application testing and automation using Appium.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser testing.
Verify API responses, data accuracy, and end-to-end application workflows.
Reproduce software defects, document findings, and coordinate with developers on fixes.
Execute test suites after new features, bug fixes, and application updates.
Maintain test results, defect reports, and quality documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing.
Skills Required
Understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development life cycle.
Familiarity with Playwright, Appium, or similar automation frameworks.
Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, Java, or Python.
Knowledge of API testing, SQL fundamentals, and browser developer tools.
Familiarity with Git and bug-tracking workflows.
Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
