We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile App Developer with strong hands-on expertise in React Native and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain high-performance mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in mobile architecture, API integrations, application security, performance optimisation, automated testing, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and user-friendly mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
Build cross-platform features for iOS and Android, ensuring consistent performance and user experience.
Integrate REST APIs and GraphQL services, including authentication, caching, pagination, and error handling.
Implement navigation, state management, offline capabilities, push notifications, deep linking, and secure local storage.
Monitor and optimise application performance, startup time, memory usage, network efficiency, and crash rates.
Implement application logging, crash reporting, analytics, and production monitoring.
Apply mobile security best practices, including secure authentication, encrypted storage, and protection of sensitive data.
Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality.
Manage CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, code signing, and app releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Troubleshoot production issues, conduct code reviews, document technical solutions, and mentor junior developers.
Collaborate with product, UX/UI, backend, QA, security, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.
Mandatory Skills
React Native & TypeScript: Strong hands-on experience with React Native, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, hooks, reusable components, and cross-platform development.
iOS & Android: Understanding of mobile application lifecycles, platform-specific configurations, builds, signing, and store releases.
API Integration: Strong experience with REST APIs and GraphQL, including authentication, caching, error handling, and data management.
State Management: Experience with Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Context API, or equivalent solutions.
Performance & Observability: Experience with application profiling, crash analytics, logging, telemetry, and production troubleshooting.
Mobile Security: Knowledge of secure coding, authentication, encrypted storage, API security, and OWASP mobile security risks.
Testing: Experience with unit, integration, and mobile automation testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or Appium.
CI/CD & Releases: Familiarity with Git, automated build pipelines, Fastlane or equivalent tools, TestFlight, App Store, and Google Play releases.
Preferred Skills
Native iOS development using Swift/Objective-C and Android development using Kotlin/Java.
Experience with Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools.
Knowledge of React Native New Architecture, Hermes, TurboModules, Fabric, and native module integration.
Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, push notifications, and enterprise identity integrations.
Experience in enterprise applications, fintech, banking, telecommunications, payments, or high-volume digital platforms.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 7+ years of professional software development experience, with substantial hands-on mobile application development experience.
Proven experience delivering production-grade React Native applications for both iOS and Android.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimisation skills.
Ability to take ownership of features from design and development through release and production support.
Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
