Advisor wanted: UK e-commerce / consumer electronics retention
ChipIn is a pre-seed UK startup building retention infrastructure for consumer electronics retailers. We let a retailer offer customers device subscriptions and upgrades at checkout, so the customer keeps coming back to that retailer instead of leaving after the first sale.
We’re looking for an e-commerce advisor who understands the commercial problems consumer electronics retailers face. That means thin hardware margins, one-off purchases with little repeat business, and the pull towards manufacturer and carrier ecosystems. You’d also help us sharpen and generate ideas on customer retention.
What we need from you
Honest feedback on our retailer proposition, pricing and pitch
Insight into how CE e-commerce teams think, buy and prioritise
Ideas on retention levers: upgrade triggers, loyalty, lifecycle and post-purchase journeys
Where relevant, introductions to retail or e-commerce contacts
About you
Hands-on experience in e-commerce, ideally consumer electronics, device retail, subscriptions, or customer retention and CRM
Based in the UK
Comfortable with an early-stage, ambiguous environment
What we offer
An advisory equity grant, with the amount and vesting to be agreed
A light time commitment, with hours per month to be agreed (a few hours is fine)
A real influence on the product and go-to-market from the start
This is an advisory role, not a co-founder position.
If this sounds like you, or you know someone who fits, please get in touch.
Kind regards,
ChipIn
