About the Opportunity:
The MANAGER, TOTAL REWARDS AND HR OPERATIONS is responsible for managing and advancing programs and processes that support employees throughout their employment lifecycle. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role oversees benefits, payroll, leave administration, and related HR operations while collaborating on the development of a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy. The position serves as the subject matter expert for health and welfare programs and leads employee communications, wellness, and engagement initiatives. It contributes to building a cohesive, competitive, and equitable Total Rewards framework as the organization scales.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Total Rewards strategy in partnership with HR leadership
Manage day-to-day administration of health and welfare benefits programs
Oversee self-insured/group captive medical plan and associated vendor relationships
Lead annual benefits open enrollment and renewal processes
Serve as primary contact for employee benefits inquiries and issues
Administer 401(k) plan in coordination with advisors and Finance
Ensure compliance with relevant benefits and payroll regulations
Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time
Administer payroll system and manage payroll vendor relationships
Collaborate with Finance on payroll funding and reconciliations
Manage leave of absence administration in coordination with HR and Legal
Maintain payroll and HRIS data accuracy; support employee lifecycle transactions
Maintain HR operations policies and identify process improvements
Assist with compensation administration including market pricing and pay equity reviews
Support performance management and job architecture initiatives
Requirements:
Experience in benefits administration and payroll operations
Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks such as ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA
Ability to manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
Strong analytical skills for reporting and data-driven decision-making
Capability to operate autonomously in a lean and growing environment
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
