Job Summary
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET), you will undergo a structured training program across various core departments, including Design, Production, Quality Assurance, Key Account Management and Project Estimation. You will apply your foundational mechanical engineering knowledge to understand sheet metal fabrication, wood/mDF processing, powder coating, and assembly line operations to help deliver world-class retail fixtures.
Core Responsibilities
1. Product Design & Engineering Support
Technical Drawings: Assist the design team in creating detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
BOM Generation: Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for fixtures, detailing hardware, glass, plastic, wood, and metal parts.
Value Engineering: Learn to optimize designs to reduce material waste and manufacturing costs while maintaining structural integrity.
2. Production & Operations Management
Process Planning: Assist in drafting production routings and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the shop floor.
Floor Coordination: Monitor daily production schedules across sheet metal, CNC machining, carpentry, and powder coating departments.
Efficiency Tracking: Track cycle times, identify production bottlenecks, and support the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles.
3. Quality Control & Assurance
Inspection: Conduct in-process and final inspection of fixtures to ensure compliance with client specifications, dimensional tolerances, and aesthetic finishes.
Defect Analysis: Identify root causes of manufacturing defects and suggest corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
4. Project Coordination & Estimation
Material Costing: Help estimate material quantities and processing costs for new retail fit-out inquiries.
Timeline Tracking: Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure raw materials are available and finished fixtures are dispatched on time.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production/Industrial Engineering.
Batch: Recent graduate (2025/2026 passing out).
Software Skills: Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and basic manufacturing processes (cutting, bending, welding).
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, adaptability, and eagerness to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
Location: Must be willing to work on-site at our manufacturing facility in Greater Noida.
