We are looking for strong Backend Engineers who are truly AI-Native - not just using AI tools, but building with AI daily to ship faster.
About The Role:
You will own business-critical production components powering key customer use cases. Connectors handling millions of events/data points daily. This is connector / JDBC / driver-integration heavy work, not just microservices.
Key Skills: Core Java, Python, Microservices, AI Coding Assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), Database/JDBC, System Design
What You'll Do:
- Design & implement moderately complex features with minimal supervision
- Contribute to system design & architecture discussions
- Actively use AI coding assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) as a core part of daily workflow - scaffolding, writing tests, code reviews, debugging
- Leverage AI to iterate quickly, reduce boilerplate & ship production-ready code at high velocity
- Critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security & standards before merging
- Own business-critical components - connectors, customer escalations, security fixes, bug fixes & new features end-to-end
Ideal Candidate - Mandatory:
1. Strong Product Company Background - B2B SaaS or B2C product companies only
2. Core Java is Primary - Deep, current hands-on Core Java expertise. Fundamentals > Frameworks
3. 2+ Years Hands-on Backend Exp - Must design & build moderately complex features independently
4. Backend Fundamentals - Experience with scalable systems handling millions of events
5. Database / JDBC - Hands-on production experience with Database & JDBC integration
6. AI Fluency is MUST - Daily hands-on use of Claude / Copilot / Cursor for scaffolding, testing, reviewing, debugging. Must be able to write precise prompts, decompose tasks for AI, and review AI code critically
7. Contract Ready - Comfortable with 3-month contract & immediate joining (urgent - onboarding in ~1 week)
8. Location - Must be based in or near Chennai, Bengaluru, or Ahmedabad
Preferred / Plus:
- Actually built & deployed AI/LLM features in prod (RAG, LLM scoring, AI assistant) - not just using AI tools
- Hands-on Python
- Microservices experience (good to have, but not must - this role is JDBC/integration heavy)
