The role
You'll build the product and the technology behind Breakout from scratch, and lead the engineering team as we grow.
What you'll do
- Design and build our mobile app and backend, starting with a fast first version
- Build the pipeline that connects AI tools for video, voice and faces into one system
- Set up video streaming, user accounts, identity verification and safety checks
- Make the build-vs-buy calls and keep costs in control
- Hire and lead the engineering team after our next round
You'll fit if you
- Have 5+ years of experience building consumer products, ideally at an early-stage startup
- Have shipped a mobile or web app used by real users
- Are comfortable working with AI APIs and video
- Like building fast, owning outcomes and working without a playbook
Bonus
Experience with streaming, media apps or generative AI; founding-engineer experience.
