Head of Strategy and Business

We're looking for a senior leader to own how Breakout grows and how it makes money. This is a founding leadership role, reporting to the Founder & CEO.
The role You'll take Breakout from launch to a business that can raise its Series A. You'll own the business plan, the growth engine and the revenue model, and build the team that runs them.
What you'll own - Business strategy and plan: the financial model, unit economics and the path from launch to scale - Monetisation: subscription, in-app purchases, advertising and brand-funded content, from pricing to conversion - Growth: user acquisition, activation and retention across paid, organic, creator-led and partnership channels - Content and IP partnerships: studios, publishers, production houses and creators who want their stories on Breakout - Distribution: telecom, device and platform partnerships that put Breakout in front of millions - Brand partnerships: shows and formats made with and for brands - Fundraising: the numbers, the data room and investor conversations, alongside the founder - Team: hiring and leading growth, partnerships and monetisation as we scale You'll fit if you - Have 10+ years of experience, with senior leadership in growth, business or revenue at an OTT platform, a micro-drama or short-video app, an audio or vernacular content platform, or an AI content company - Have owned a P&L or a revenue line and grown it, with numbers to show for it - Know how Indian audiences discover, watch and pay for content on their phones - Have built partnerships with studios, creators, telecoms or brands - Are comfortable going from strategy in the morning to a spreadsheet in the afternoon; this is a hands-on role at a startup - Are excited, not sceptical, about what AI is doing to entertainment Bonus - Experience launching a new consumer app, or taking a product from launch to its first million users - Experience with subscription or micro-transaction models in India - An existing network across OTT, creators and media buyers Compensation Senior leadership salary and meaningful equity.
