About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

The Corporate HR team at NBCUniversal is seeking an HR Generalist to support our corporate client groups. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their HR career while partnering closely with leaders and employees on a wide range of people-related matters.
In this role, you’ll be a trusted HR partner to leaders and employees across Corporate Legal. Your work will cover employee relations, performance management, talent development, organizational and workforce planning, compensation, succession planning, and recruitment. Some days that may mean coaching a manager through a difficult employee situation; others may involve thinking through the structure of a team, identifying development opportunities, or helping plan for future talent needs.
We’re looking for someone who is practical, curious, and solutions-oriented. You’ll have room to take ownership, use your judgment, and bring ideas forward, while also having a strong HR team around you to collaborate with. You’ll work closely with partners across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Employment Law, and other HR teams depending on what the business needs.
Here you can:
Serve as a trusted HR partner to Corporate Legal leaders and employees.
Coach and advise managers on employee relations, performance, development, and other people-related matters.
Assist in managing employee relations issues and workplace investigations, partnering with Employment Law when needed.
Support key talent processes including performance management, compensation planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and employee development.
Work with leaders on organizational design, team structure, workforce planning, and talent priorities.
Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring leaders to support recruitment and hiring needs.
Help leaders and employees understand and navigate HR policies, practices, and programs.
Use workforce data and employee feedback to spot trends, identify opportunities, and help inform decisions.
Work closely with HR partners and subject matter experts to find solutions and get things done.
Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives that improve how we support, develop, and engage employees.
Here you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Labor Relations or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
3+ years of progressive professional HR experience
Experience supporting leaders and employees across a range of HR matters.
Employee relations experience, including handling sensitive issues and workplace investigations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
What we'll look for:
Sound judgment and a willingness to learn through complex situations.
Curious about AI and emerging technologies that can improve HR processes and employee experiences.
Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Proactive, resourceful, and eager to take ownership of work.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Builds credibility and strong working relationships with employees and leaders.
Collaborative team player with a customer-service mindset.
Interested in learning how the business operates and how HR can help drive success.
