About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR IT AUTOMATION ENGINEER role focuses on enhancing the organization's operational efficiency and security posture through automation and AI. The position leads the development and management of automation strategies and systems, including a Center of Excellence for Automation and Agentic AI. This role is critical in scaling secure, practical automation solutions that improve employee productivity and organizational performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional automation initiatives to enhance operational scale and business execution.
Manage the enterprise automation and integration stack, ensuring performance and security compliance.
Establish and operate the Automation and Agentic AI Center of Excellence with governance and prioritization frameworks.
Develop reusable frameworks, templates, and design patterns to enable self-service and consistent solution delivery.
Collaborate on AI adoption, feature enablement, and governance with innovation teams.
Design secure, modular integration patterns and automation pipelines.
Identify operational inefficiencies and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Re-engineer operational workflows using AI tools while maintaining human oversight and security.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or related technical leadership, preferably with IT collaboration.
Experience defining automation strategies and guiding initiatives to adoption.
Proficiency with enterprise workflow platforms, API integrations, Microsoft Azure, Entra, Intune, and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Knowledge of SaaS security, identity and access management, credential protection, and privacy-conscious data handling.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance automation and manual processes.
Effective communication of technical trade-offs to diverse stakeholders.
Experience designing AI-enhanced workflows that preserve human judgment and measurable outcomes.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Base salary range: $130,000 to $140,000 plus bonus and equity.
