Curriculum Production Designer
Master Books / New Leaf Publishing Group
Remote within the U.S. | Optional onsite workspace in Dallas, TX, or Green Forest, AR | Up to 20% travel
Salary: $45,000–$60,000
Help create curriculum that equips homeschool families and serves students from preschool through high school. As a Curriculum Production Designer, you’ll transform approved manuscripts into clear, engaging, print-ready learning materials used by families nationwide.
This is a hands-on production-design role — not a concept-from-scratch brand-design position. This role is for you if:
You have 2-5 years of professional production-design experience, with strong Adobe InDesign skills (paragraph and character styles, parent pages, running headers, linked assets, multipage document management)
You’re working-proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
You’ve produced print-ready files for books, curriculum, workbooks, catalogs, or similar multipage publications
You have a strong eye for typography, visual hierarchy, consistency, and page composition
You catch and resolve production issues before they become press issues, and you communicate clearly and professionally
You enjoy working within established systems and design standards rather than designing from a blank page
New Leaf Publishing Group has published Christian books and homeschool curriculum since 1975. Master Books, our flagship curriculum imprint, creates educational resources grounded in a Christian worldview and Biblical apologetics. Our team is focused exclusively on this mission and on producing excellent curriculum that serves children, parents, and homeschool families nationwide.
You’ll join a collaborative team of approximately 30 people, where your work has a direct and visible impact on the products we publish. Candidates should be comfortable contributing thoughtfully and professionally in a mission-driven, faith-oriented publishing environment.
