Job Summary (Senior Full-Stack Engineer Adobe Commerce/Magento)
Lead frontend enhancements for a complex, enterprise-scale Adobe Commerce (Magento) storefront, focusing on usability, accessibility, performance, and visual consistency.
Build and maintain connectivity between frontend experiences and backend services, including Adobe Commerce APIs, middleware, and third-party integrations (ERP, OMS, PIM, CRM, tax, search, subscription billing).
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and design systems into responsive, production-quality components.
Optimize storefront performance using caching (Redis), CDN (Fastly or similar), and search/indexing (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
Implement and maintain component libraries/design systems with robust test coverage and a test-driven development (TDD) approach.
Define and support clean API contracts for new frontend capabilities, working closely with backend engineers.
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated frontend deployments.
Participate in A/B testing, iterative experience improvements, and mentor teammates on frontend architecture and best practices.
Utilize modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue) for headless/composable storefronts (e.g., PWA Studio, Venia).
Apply strong PHP and Magento 2.x development skills in an enterprise environment, including integration with external systems via APIs and message queues (REST/GraphQL/SOAP, RabbitMQ, webhooks).
Work with relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB), optimize queries for high-volume data, and ensure code quality through automated testing (PHPUnit, MFTF, Jest, Cypress).
Engage in Agile/Scrum processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams (QA, product, engineering).
Utilize frontend build tooling (Webpack, Vite) and performance profiling tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, New Relic, Blackfire).
Preferred: experience with design systems (Storybook), headless/composable commerce, A/B testing tools, and mentoring developers.
Work remotely with regular overlap for US business hours; background check and security screening required before start.
