Motion Designer (social first) [AQ-22421]

Aquent Studios is seeking a Motion Designer, Social Creative to join our team supporting our international tech client.
They will bring social-first creative to life in motion across our international tech client’s portfolio of brands, including Snapdragon and emerging growth businesses. Working under the Creative Director, Social Creative, this designer will turn concepts, creative briefs, and brand systems into scroll-stopping, platform-native motion content built for today’s creator-driven social environment. In close partnership with the Social team, they will help produce culturally relevant work that drives engagement, participation, and brand impact.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional motion craft with a strong feel for how content performs on social. They are a collaborative designer who takes direction well, moves quickly, and raises the quality of the work they touch.
What You’ll Do
Design and animate social-first content for our international tech client brands, including short-form video, animated graphics, looping assets, and campaign key moments.
Adapt concepts across platforms and formats while keeping each piece native to the channel and consistent with the brand.
Translate brand identity, typography, color, and visual systems into motion, following and helping evolve the brand’s motion language.
Build reusable motion templates and scalable systems that help the Social team produce content efficiently and consistently over time.
Partner with the Creative Director, designers, copywriters, editors, and the Social, Brand, and Production teams to take work from concept to final delivery.
Incorporate sound, music, captions, and subtitles to make content work for sound-off viewing.
Stay on top of platform features, creator-driven formats, and emerging cultural trends, and bring fresh ideas to the team.
Take feedback in stride, iterating quickly across review rounds.
Who You Are
4–6+ years of motion design experience in agency, in-house, or studio environments, with a focus on social-first or digital content.
A portfolio that shows strong craft, timing, and storytelling in short-form formats and platform-native work.
Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong command of animation principles, typography in motion, composition, and pacing.
Fluency in social platforms, creator content, and evolving social trends.
Skilled at working within brand guidelines across multiple brands and business priorities while still bringing creative ideas to the table.
Collaborative, adaptable, and energized by solving new creative challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have: experience with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender), Figma, Lottie or template-based motion workflows, or AI-assisted video tools; experience with technology or consumer electronics brands.
