Role Description The Software Engineer Intern will work on-site at A.L.I.C.E. Labs in Dehradun in a full-time capacity, collaborating with the engineering team to design, develop, and test software components. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing features, fixing bugs, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews. The intern will assist with back-end web development tasks, integrate APIs, and help optimize application performance and reliability. The role also involves documenting technical work, following best practices in software engineering, and contributing to team discussions around architecture, tooling, and process improvements.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
Exposure to Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript).
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them in designing and implementing modular, reusable code.
Interest or experience in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance, and collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
Basic familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development workflows is preferred.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving engineering challenges.
