Lead / Senior Systems Engineer - HPC Administrator

We are seeking a Lead / Senior Systems Engineer specializing in HPC Administration to support and maintain high-performance computing environments, ensuring system reliability, performance, and smooth operational support for end users.
Responsibilities
Triage and resolve HPC systems issues to minimize downtime and performance impact
Maintain and troubleshoot Linux systems to ensure stability and reliability
Set up and maintain monitoring systems to track infrastructure health
Communicate with users and provide operational support for HPC-related inquiries
Manage and update ServiceNow tickets to track and resolve incidents
Diagnose, upgrade, and tune HPC hardware components to optimize performance
Work effectively within environments with minimal documentation
Requirements
5 to 15 years of overall experience in systems engineering or HPC administration
Expertise in Linux administration on RPM-based systems
Proficiency in kernel module compilation and low-level debugging tools such as strace, coredump, and tcpdump
Skills in monitoring platforms including Zabbix, ELK, and Grafana, with the capability to configure Splunk dashboards
Background in HPC hardware diagnostics, upgrades, and tuning, including InfiniBand HCAs, Lustre/VAST/IBM storage systems, and Dell/HP servers
Experience with job schedulers such as Slurm or UGE/AGE
Nice to have
Familiarity with cluster management platforms like Bright Cluster Manager, xCAT, or IBM CSM
