About the Role
HEXO ROBOTICS INDIA is looking for an experienced PLC Engineer with strong expertise in Siemens PLC programming, TIA Portal, and industrial machine vision integration. The candidate should be capable of developing automation programs, integrating vision cameras with PLC systems, and commissioning complete automation solutions at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal.
- Work with Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLC platforms.
- Develop PLC logic using Ladder Logic (LAD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Control Language (SCL).
- Configure Siemens HMI systems using WinCC.
- Integrate industrial machine vision cameras with Siemens PLCs for inspection, detection, positioning, and quality control applications.
- Configure camera-to-PLC communication using PROFINET, TCP/IP, digital I/O, or other supported industrial interfaces.
- Exchange inspection results, trigger signals, product coordinates, and pass/fail data between vision systems and PLCs.
- Troubleshoot camera communication, inspection logic, triggering, and synchronization issues.
- Integrate PLCs with industrial robots, sensors, VFDs, servo drives, and other automation equipment.
- Perform on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and prepare technical documentation.
- Coordinate with customers and project teams, communicating technical matters fluently in English.
- Travel to customer sites for commissioning and technical support as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on Siemens PLC programming experience using TIA Portal.
- Strong knowledge of Siemens S7-1200/S7-1500 PLCs and WinCC HMI.
- Practical experience integrating industrial vision cameras with PLCs.
- Understanding of machine vision triggering, inspection results, pass/fail logic, and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of PROFINET, TCP/IP, and industrial digital I/O.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC, vision system, and automation integration issues.
- Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel for site commissioning and customer support.
