Role Description The DSS - Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore & Salem. The designer will translate customer requirements and lifestyle needs into functional, aesthetically pleasing stainless steel modular kitchen designs aligned with Tusker’s brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients, understanding space constraints, creating layout options, and preparing detailed design drawings and 3D visualizations using design software. The role involves collaborating with sales and production teams to ensure feasibility, accurate measurements, material specifications, and smooth handoff to manufacturing and installation. The designer will also refine designs based on client feedback, maintain design documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of design templates and processes.
Qualifications
Ability to create practical and visually appealing interior layouts for kitchens and related spaces, with a strong sense of space planning, ergonomics, and functionality.
Proficiency in relevant design and visualization tools (e.g.,Coohom, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software) to produce accurate drawings and 3D renderings.
Strong client-facing skills, including the ability to understand requirements, present design options clearly, and incorporate feedback effectively.
Attention to detail in measurements, material selection, and documentation to ensure designs are production-ready and installation-friendly.
Understanding of modular kitchen components, fittings, finishes, and basic knowledge of stainless steel or similar materials is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore & Salem, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple design projects within timelines.
Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field is preferred; prior experience in modular kitchen or interior design is a plus.
Commitment to hygienic, durable, and user-centric design, with willingness to learn and adapt to Tusker’s design standards and processes.
