Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Logistics Manager role based in Chengalpattu. The Logistics Manager will oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including planning and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing warehouse activities, and ensuring timely distribution of finished goods. The role includes maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing storage and transportation, and coordinating with procurement, production, and sales teams to meet delivery timelines and cost targets. The Logistics Manager will monitor supplier and transport performance, handle logistics documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The position also involves resolving logistics-related issues, improving processes, and supporting customer service standards through reliable order fulfillment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills to oversee end-to-end material flow and distribution.
Candidates should possess Inventory Management skills to maintain accurate stock levels, control discrepancies, and support production planning.
Candidates should possess Procurement and Supplier Coordination skills to manage sourcing activities, negotiate with vendors, and align deliveries with operational needs.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to support on-time deliveries, handle order-related queries, and maintain service quality for internal and external stakeholders.
Relevant experience in manufacturing or FMCG logistics, ideally in cosmetics or related industries, is preferred.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in ERP or inventory management software.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across operations, production, and commercial teams.
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
