About the Role
Butterfly Technology LLC is looking for a skilled Backend Developer with hands-on experience in server-side development, API development, database management, and backend architecture.
The ideal candidate should be capable of developing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems, integrating third-party services, and collaborating with frontend developers to deliver reliable web applications and software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs and services.
Design, manage, and optimize databases, including data models, queries, and relationships.
Implement authentication, authorization, data validation, and application security.
Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to integrate backend services.
Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and technical challenges.
Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Implement business logic, database operations, and server-side functionalities.
Work with cloud platforms, deployment environments, and version control systems.
Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and technical discussions.
Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and data security.
Manage assigned tasks independently and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in backend development.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
Strong knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Understanding of database design, schema development, query optimization, and data modeling.
Experience implementing authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, or similar mechanisms.
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Understanding of asynchronous programming, error handling, and application performance optimization.
Experience with third-party API integrations and external services.
Knowledge of application security, debugging, and testing best practices.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Redis, background jobs, queues, or caching mechanisms.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable application design.
Experience working with React.js or other frontend frameworks.
Experience developing production-ready web applications and SaaS platforms.
