About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (AUTHENTICATION) will develop and scale cloud-based authentication services to enhance secure, voice-based identity verification. This role contributes directly to strengthening fraud defenses and improving engineering productivity by integrating AI/ML signals and building reliable, low-latency backend systems. The position is critical for advancing the organization's cloud platform and protecting high-risk interactions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor backend services and APIs using Go and Python.
Build and maintain cloud-native services in AWS and GCP with a focus on reliability and security.
Manage features through the full software development lifecycle using CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
Address complex problems related to authentication, identity, and fraud prevention.
Integrate AI/ML capabilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize models.
Utilize observability tools to troubleshoot and improve system reliability and latency.
Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver and enhance AI-driven identity and fraud solutions.
Participate in on-call rotations and support live production environments.
Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and design reviews to support platform integration and safety.
Requirements:
5-7+ years of experience in backend software development.
Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages with strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and Linux.
Experience designing and operating cloud-native systems in AWS or GCP.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and production support.
Preferred: Experience with Redis, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch.
Preferred: Background in authentication, identity, fraud prevention, or security-sensitive environments.
Preferred: Experience with observability and production diagnostics.
Preferred: Exposure to UI or customer-facing backend workflows.
