Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Site Civil Engineer based in Chennai. The Site Civil Engineer will oversee day-to-day site activities related to waterproofing, structural repair, and building rehabilitation works. Responsibilities include supervising contractors and workers, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards, coordinating with project managers and consultants, and monitoring project timelines and resource allocation. The role involves conducting site inspections, preparing progress reports, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local building codes. The Site Civil Engineer will also support material selection, verify quantities, and assist in planning and execution for multiple ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Civil Engineering fundamentals: strong knowledge of Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
Project planning and coordination: skills in Planning and experience working as part of Civil Engineers teams on site.
<li*stormwater and drainage expertise*: practical understanding of stormwater management related infrastructure works.< li>
Relevant education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience: prior on-site experience in building construction, repair, rehabilitation, or waterproofing projects is preferred.
Technical skills: ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents; familiarity with basic engineering software and MS Office.
Site management: strong attention to safety, quality control, and compliance with local regulations and standards.
Soft skills: effective communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
