Role Description The forward-deployed engineer (FDE) role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. In this role, the engineer works closely with client teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and implement robust software systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing back-end services, writing clean and maintainable code, reviewing existing systems, and contributing to system architecture decisions. The FDE collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, troubleshoots production issues, and provides technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves documenting technical approaches, participating in code reviews, and continuously improving processes and tools to enhance delivery quality.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and core software engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side architectures.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work on-site with client teams in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with version control systems, testing practices, and deployment workflows; experience with cloud platforms is a plus.
