About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

What if your next role gave you the opportunity to shape the licensing strategy for a new generation of nuclear technology, rather than simply maintain an existing programme?
We're working with an innovative nuclear technology company developing first-of-a-kind facilities with the potential to transform the production of critical medical isotopes.
They're looking for a Licensing Manager to take ownership of their nuclear licensing strategy, lead a specialist team and act as the primary interface with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
This isn't simply a regulatory compliance position. It's an opportunity to influence how new nuclear technology progresses through licensing and towards operation.
What makes this opportunity different?
Own the strategy. Lead the development and execution of licensing strategies, rather than simply supporting someone else's decisions.
Lead the team. Manage and develop licensing professionals, coordinating technical and regulatory activities across the organisation.
Be the voice to the NRC. Take the lead on regulatory engagement, licensing submissions and resolving complex licensing challenges.
Make a tangible impact. Work on first-of-a-kind nuclear technology with a meaningful application in healthcare.
Work flexibly. Remote and hybrid arrangements are considered, with occasional travel depending on business needs.
What experience would make you a good fit?
You'll ideally bring at least 7 years of nuclear experience across licensing, regulatory affairs, engineering, operations or quality assurance.
You'll also need a strong understanding of NRC licensing processes, particularly 10 CFR Part 50, and experience working with nuclear regulatory requirements.
Previous leadership experience would be valuable, but we're equally interested in experienced licensing professionals ready to take the next step into a broader leadership position.
Interested?
You don't need to be actively looking for a new role to have a conversation.
If you're an experienced nuclear professional who would like greater ownership, technical influence and the opportunity to help bring new nuclear technology into operation, I'd be happy to share more.
Apply directly, send me a message or reach out for a confidential conversation.
