Digital Project Manager

Our client in the higher education space is looking for an experienced Digital Systems Implementation Project Manager to lead the implementation of several new, best-in-class digital systems, including Blackthorn (event management software) and GiveCampus (fundraising technology platform).
This is 15-20 hours of work per week, fully remote.
The Project Manager will oversee project coordination, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication, partnering closely with technology vendors and cross-functional teams across the university. This individual will serve as a central point of contact, ensuring projects stay on track, stakeholders remain aligned, and key milestones are achieved.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and a proactive, collaborative approach to driving projects forward and resolving challenges.
Responsibilities:
-Serve as the primary liaison between external vendors and internal stakeholders.
-Develop a working knowledge of each system, including its functionality, workflows, and how it will be used by our client
-Support the planning and execution of legacy system decommissioning (Encompass by iModules), including transition activities, timelines, and stakeholder coordination.
-Manage weekly project check-ins with vendors and internal partners to track progress, address issues, and align on next steps.
-Leverage project management tools to organize project activities, track deliverables, and keep projects on schedule.
-Develop and document SOPs and process documentation for key deliverables to support consistency and long-term project sustainability.
-Manage project timelines and keep leadership informed of project status, milestones, risks, and key decisions.
-Collaborate with the CRM vendor and internal CRM champions to ensure alignment on project goals, requirements, and implementation priorities.
Qualifications:
-Proven project management experience, preferably with technology or systems implementations.
-Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and working effectively with stakeholders across different departments.
-Strong meeting facilitation and project documentation skills, including creating agendas, tracking action items, documenting decisions, and maintaining project plans.
-Ability to identify risks, issues, and dependencies and proactively develop solutions or escalate when appropriate.
-Ability to quickly learn new technology systems and develop a working understanding of their functionality, workflows, and business applications.
-Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
-Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members and translate business and marketing needs into practical solutions
-Experience with GiveCampus and/or Blackthorn systems.
-Experience supporting organizations through marketing technology implementations, system transitions, or platform optimization initiatives.
-Experience working in higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, membership-based, or other complex constituent-focused organizations.
