About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

We’re partnering with a growing Series B tech company building consumer experiences and enterprise platforms. The core consumer business is cash flow positive, with multiple revenue streams and opportunities to expand into new products.
We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive the next stage of consumer growth. You’ll own strategy and execution across key consumer products, identify new revenue opportunities, and improve acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion through strong product judgment, rigorous analytics, and fast experimentation.
This is a senior individual contributor role with meaningful strategic ownership. Reporting to the VP of Consumer, you’ll personally lead discovery, write PRDs, analyze funnels, prototype ideas, and partner with Engineering and Design to bring products to market. You’ll also help strengthen product thinking across the team through coaching and collaboration, with the potential to manage one PM.
Responsibilities:
Own the strategy, roadmap, and results for key consumer product areas, connecting priorities to company growth goals.
Identify the highest-impact opportunities across acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.
Drive product-led growth through self-serve experiences, new product capabilities, and a disciplined experimentation cadence.
Evaluate opportunities across multiple products and revenue streams, making clear recommendations on what to build, improve, or deprioritize.
Take new consumer products and features from discovery through launch, owning requirements, success metrics, and iteration.
Independently analyze customer behavior, funnel performance, and experiment results to guide product decisions.
Stay close to customers through ongoing research and use those insights to shape the roadmap.
Build prototypes to test ideas and work closely with Engineering and Design to deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences.
Set ambitious goals, make focused trade-offs, and keep work moving through clear decisions and strong cross-functional relationships.
Use AI throughout research, analysis, prototyping, documentation, and delivery.
Raise the quality of product work through thoughtful feedback and coaching, with the potential to manage one PM.
Must-Have Skills:
An experienced consumer software PM who has personally driven significant, measurable growth at successful startup or scale-up companies.
Have owned complex product areas from strategy through execution and can clearly explain your decisions, trade-offs, and results.
Have built and grown consumer products with multiple revenue streams and made investment decisions across different business opportunities.
Bring strong experimentation and analytics experience, with meaningful ownership across the customer journey.
Enjoy doing the work yourself, including customer discovery, writing PRDs, analyzing data, prototyping, and shipping.
Comfortable operating with limited resources, moving quickly, and taking ownership through ambiguity.
Highly analytical and able to independently access, interpret, and apply data. SQL experience is a strong plus, and equivalent hands on analytical capability is welcome.
Fluent in using AI in day-to-day product work, with concrete examples of how it improves your execution. Experience shipping AI-powered consumer products is a plus.
Bring strong product judgment, a high bar for customer experience, and the ability to turn customer problems into meaningful product opportunities.
Technically fluent and comfortable partnering closely with Engineering on consumer technology, instrumentation, and experimentation.
A clear, engaging communicator who can structure complex ideas, make recommendations, and adapt as new information emerges.
Ambitious and proactive, with a track record of setting challenging goals and driving results.
Comfortable mentoring other PMs. Previous people management experience is welcome but not required.
Travel, loyalty, rewards, or consumer fintech experience is a plus.
Benefits:
Competitive salary plus meaningful equity
Fully-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
Open vacation policy
Paid family leave for all parents
Fully remote work environment
