Role Overview
We are looking for a Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) Senior Developer to provide technical leadership and deliver FSL implementations and customizations. The role includes configuring FSL capabilities, translating functional requirements into technical designs, developing Salesforce components and integrations, and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for FSL implementations and/or customizations, including system integrations, third-party applications, AppExchange products and custom Lightning development.
• Prepare and present designs to the architecture review board.
• Develop and configure Salesforce FSL solutions, including dispatch console, work rules, scheduling policies, service territories and mobile flows.
• Participate in requirement elaboration with functional consultants and translate functional needs into technical designs.
• Support design and build of complex Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Apex classes, triggers and integrations aligned with best practices.
• Contribute to design reviews and peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and performance expectations.
• Estimate user stories, support sprint planning and provide regular status updates to project leadership.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge of FSL features and Salesforce releases.
Essential Skills and Experience
• 10+ years of total Salesforce development experience, with at least 3 years focused on FSL implementations.
• Hands-on expertise in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, LWC/Aura, Flow Builder and Process Builder.
• Proven experience configuring FSL components, including service resources, skills, work types, crews and scheduling optimizer.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with REST/SOAP services and external systems.
• Good understanding of Service Cloud objects, including Cases, Work Orders and Entitlements.
• Familiarity with mobile offline synchronization patterns and FSL Mobile configuration.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is mandatory; FSL Consultant and/or Platform Developer II certification is preferred.
• Experience with SFDX, unlocked packages, CI/CD and automated testing frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
Management Skills
• Able to articulate and present designs to an enterprise architect.
• Coordinate with the Salesforce Architect whenever required.
• Guide small feature teams and conduct peer reviews.
• Estimate tasks and communicate risks proactively to leads.
• Comfortable working in a global Agile delivery model, collaborating with consultants and testers across time zones.
Interpersonal Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter with an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Certifications
• Salesforce Platform Admin.
• Salesforce Platform Developer.
• Salesforce Service Cloud.
• Salesforce FSL Consultant.
