Airport Hangar Cleaner - Days Shifts - Gatwick Airport

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are excited to be recruiting for Hangar Cleaners to join one of our well-respected and successful clients at Gatwick Airport. What’s on offer:
Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour.
Day Shifts available: 07:00 am to 17:00 pm - This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.
Weekly Pay (every Friday).
Full training provided.
Temp to Perm (performance-based)

Key Duties:
Support the Team Lead with daily hangar projects and tasks.
Carry out interior and exterior cleaning on British Airways (BA) aircraft.
Complete all levels of aircraft cleaning, including toilets, deep cleans, passenger seats, floors, overhead areas and kitchen galleys.
Clean and sanitise aircraft areas thoroughly to the required hygiene and customer standards.
Be comfortable working at height on and around aircraft, using the correct safety equipment.
Follow daily work schedules and instructions from the Team Lead.
This is a very physical role, involving bending, reaching, climbing, lifting and being on your feet for long periods. You must be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work throughout your shift.
Be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues to get the job done.
Follow all Health & Safety, Working at Height and aviation safety procedures.
Use cleaning equipment, tools and chemicals safely and correctly.
Help with stock checks, equipment checks and completing required paperwork.
Keep the hangar and aircraft work areas clean, safe and organised.
Work closely with colleagues, British Airways teams and contractors to complete work safely, efficiently and on time.
Requirements:
Ability to work well in a team.
Great work ethic.
Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card.
UK Settled Status (If applicable).
Proof of National Insurance.
Proof of (current) Address.
5 Year Address History.
5 Year Work Reference History.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.
PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
