About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About us
We build AI-powered tools that help data center engineers detect design risks, identify redundancy gaps, and generate evidence-backed review reports using knowledge graphs and engineering rules.
The role
You’ll lead the architecture, set coding standards, and ensure all engineers follow a consistent approach using Claude Code. You’ll own technical decisions, code reviews, and quality standards.
You will lead
The architecture, end to end.
Engineering conventions for agentic coding: the shared repository instructions, task breakdown, test and review gates, and code review for engineers whose strength is domain knowledge rather than software design.
The design graph: the knowledge graph and ontology every extraction writes into and every rule reads from.
Evidence and findings: the model that ties every finding back to the exact drawing, schedule or document it came from.
The review report and reviewer workflow: the screens where a human reviewer works through findings, accepts or edits them, and signs off. You design these as well as build them.
The application shell and the design review agent.
You will also carry
Package scope and upload.
Interface design across the product.
Quality engineering: test strategy and the gates code passes before it ships.
What you bring
Knowledge graphs and ontologies in production: modelling, querying, schema evolution.
Strong backend services and a strong web front end.
Product design sense: you can design a dense expert workflow screen without a designer.
Experience as a technical lead who set an architecture others built on and held it together as the team grew.
A clear, tested view of how a team should work with Claude Code.
Requirements
Education: a bachelor's in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. A master's or PhD involving knowledge representation, semantic web or ontologies is a plus.
Experience: about 8+ years, including time as tech lead or founding engineer at a startup that shipped a knowledge graph product. You have built expert-facing workflow interfaces and set team conventions for agentic coding. This is our most senior software hire.
Claude Code is a hard requirement
You already build real software by directing Claude Code: breaking work into tasks, giving it the context it needs, reviewing and testing what it produces, and knowing when to step in. Autocomplete-style assistance does not count.
In the interview we will ask you to show something you shipped this way and walk us through how you worked. Expect to discuss how you would set it up for a team of eight, three of whom are engineers first.
Nice to have
Experience with LLM agents in a product, not only in your editor.
Engineering or industrial domain software (CAD, BIM, asset management).
Location and hours
The team works across the SF Bay Area and Ho Chi Minh City, so expect a few hours of early-morning or evening overlap on some days.

Work arrangement
