About the role

Who we are
Altaïr Strategy is a consultancy run by students, started at Bocconi University. Our clients are young companies and startups that need a clear answer to a practical question: which market to enter, how to find their first customers, or where to focus when resources are tight. Every project is carried out for a real client who will act on our recommendations.
The project
This is an 8-week engagement alongside a small team, working on a live mandate. You will contribute to the analysis from the first week and you will speak directly with the founders we advise. By the end, you will have followed a full consulting project from the initial briefing to the final presentation.
Your responsibilities
Analyse markets, target customers and competitors for early-stage companies
Support the team on market entry, marketing and strategy recommendations
Break down open-ended questions, test assumptions and draw out clear conclusions
Join client calls and present part of the final work
Exchange regularly with the team and act on their feedback
What you take away
A practical understanding of how consulting projects run, with real client contact
Ongoing feedback on your analysis, problem structuring and communication
A letter of recommendation once the project is successfully completed
The chance to become a Project Manager at Altaïr Strategy if your performance supports it
Your profile
Currently studying at a leading university or business school in Europe
Comfortable working in English, in writing and in conversation (other languages are a plus)
No prior experience needed, though anything relevant helps: case competitions, student associations, internships or your own projects
Beyond the CV, we pay close attention to how you work:
Autonomy: you take a task forward on your own
Problem-solving: you like making sense of an unclear question
Entrepreneurial curiosity: you want to understand how young companies grow
Ambition: you want to learn fast and take on more responsibility
Initiative: you step up and help the team move forward
Important to know
This role is a voluntary learning experience. It is not an internship, it is unpaid and it does not involve an employment contract. It runs alongside your studies, and the expected workload is set so that it stays manageable around your academic commitments.
Selection process
Apply by sending your CV through the LinkedIn Easy Apply form. After a CV review, selected candidates are invited to a 45-minute interview with the founders, covering both motivation and a technical component. We will share details on the interview format with those selected.
