Role Description The Electrical Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves designing and reviewing electrical systems for EPCC projects in petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, and marine environments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications. The Electrical Engineer will develop and update electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics; perform calculations and load analysis for power distribution and power systems; and support equipment selection and technical evaluations. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in site inspections and commissioning activities, preparing technical documentation and reports, and supporting troubleshooting of electrical issues during project execution. The role also requires contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining strict adherence to quality and HSE guidelines, and supporting client meetings with clear technical input.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core concepts to industrial EPCC environments.
Proficiency in Electrical Design, including preparation and review of drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience with Power Distribution systems, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and protection coordination.
Knowledge of Power Systems analysis, reliability, and integration with complex industrial infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Familiarity with relevant international and local electrical codes, standards, and HSE regulations.
Ability to work on-site in industrial environments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical information clearly.
Experience in petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, or marine projects is an advantage.
Proficiency with electrical design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP or equivalent) is beneficial.
