About the Opportunity:
The APPLICATION DEVELOPER is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications that support federal government missions. This role focuses on REST API development and modern web technologies, contributing to the advancement of government operations and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop backend services using Java, JPA/ORM, and REST API
Ensure API security and efficient database interactions with PostgreSQL
Develop frontend components using Angular or React with JavaScript/TypeScript
Utilize Node.js for backend scripting
Handle data formats such as XML and JSON
Use basic Unix/Linux commands and understand networking fundamentals
Troubleshoot and debug Java applications
Use version control and build tools such as Git, Gradle, and Maven
Requirements:
Proficiency in Java backend development and REST API design
Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database concepts
Knowledge of frontend frameworks like Angular or React
Skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
Familiarity with XML, JSON, Unix/Linux, and networking basics
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting Java applications
Competence with Git, Gradle, and Maven
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The base pay range for this position in specified states is $97,500 to $115,200 USD
