About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Online Teacher Aide to join our virtual school community. In this role, you will work alongside online classroom teachers and learning leaders to provide targeted support, facilitating small-group breakout sessions, delivering live 1:1 assistance, and supporting students with high learning and/or health needs in an inclusive digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Virtual Support: Lead small-group activities and provide tailored 1:1 live support to help students access the curriculum.
Support for High Needs: Assist remote students with elevated learning or health needs, maintaining consistent engagement and routines.
Classroom Collaboration: Partner with online teachers during live sessions to manage digital resources and encourage student participation.
Digital Tools: Utilize educational applications and assistive technologies to guide students through online learning platforms.
What We Are Looking For
Compassionate & Patient: An empathetic approach tailored to remote learners and the patience to support diverse learning paces.
Tech-Savvy & Adaptable: Comfortable navigating learning management systems, online tools, and tech shifts in live sessions.
Strong Communicator & Collaborator: Clear, warm written and verbal communication to partner effectively with teachers and engage students remotely.
Key Attributes: High degree of relational warmth, proactive problem-solving, and respect for student privacy and confidentiality online.
