About the Role
Opvia is looking for a Data Analyst / Business Analyst who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and turning data into clear business insights.
You’ll work closely with business teams to understand their requirements, analyse performance and build reports that help them make better decisions. The role combines hands-on data analysis with understanding business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean and analyse data from spreadsheets, databases and business systems.
Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
Track key business metrics and investigate trends, discrepancies and performance changes.
Use SQL to extract, combine and validate data from different sources.
Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into reports and analysis.
Review existing processes and recommend improvements supported by data.
Present findings clearly, highlighting practical recommendations and next steps.
Maintain documentation for reports, metric definitions and business requirements.
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis or a similar role.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions and data cleaning.
Working knowledge of SQL.
Experience with at least one reporting tool, such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain findings to non-technical colleagues.
Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
Good to Have
Familiarity with Python or tools for automating reports.
Experience analysing sales, marketing, finance, operations or ecommerce data.
Experience working with international clients or teams.
