We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded engineering leader to establish, lead and grow KBR's Complex Structures capability. This is a unique opportunity for a recognised bridges and structures professional to combine technical leadership, business development, project delivery and people leadership while shaping the future growth of our national Transport business.
As Group Leader – Complex Structures, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of structural engineering specialists while driving business growth across the bridges and complex structures market. Acting as a true "seller-doer", you will maintain technical involvement in major projects while developing strategic client relationships and securing new opportunities. You will play a key role in growing KBR's market share and strengthening our reputation as a trusted delivery partner across the transport and infrastructure sectors.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to:
Establish and grow KBR's Complex Structures capability within NSW and support expansion into other Australian markets.
Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering major infrastructure and bridge projects.
Develop strategic client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Drive work-winning activities, including pursuits, proposals and client presentations.
Mentor and develop a team of specialist engineers and future technical leaders.
Act as a recognised technical authority in bridge engineering and complex structures.
Who Are You?
You are a highly accomplished structural engineering professional with extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects and leading technical teams. You are known for your ability to build trusted client relationships, identify growth opportunities and inspire high-performing teams.
You will bring:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Approximately 20+ years' experience in infrastructure engineering.
Significant expertise in bridge engineering and complex structural design.
Demonstrated success in client-facing leadership and business development roles.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Chartered Engineer status (CPEng, RPEQ or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
