Location: Dallas, TX (Preferred Home Base)

ABOUT PHOTHERA
Lucas James Talent Partners has been retained by Phothera, a Madison Medical company within Madison Industries, to identify a high-performing Dermatology Sales Specialist to launch and grow a strategically important territory across Texas.
This is an opportunity for a commercial professional who enjoys building markets, developing long-term provider relationships, educating clinicians, and creating new prescribing behavior. The role calls for someone who can establish a strong presence in an emerging territory, develop new business, and build lasting relationships with medical dermatology practices.
Phothera is transforming how patients access phototherapy. Its home phototherapy platform enables appropriate patients with psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and vitiligo to receive evidence-based, non-systemic narrowband UVB treatment at home rather than traveling to a dermatology office multiple times each week. Home phototherapy can offer an important option within a dermatologist's treatment approach, including for appropriate patients considering alternatives or complements to biologic therapies.
Backed by Madison Industries, Phothera combines the stability of an established organization with the visibility and opportunity of a growing commercial team.
THE OPPORTUNITY: BUILD SOMETHING MEANINGFUL
You will introduce practices to Phothera's platform, develop new clinical relationships, educate care teams on patient selection and workflow, and drive sustained provider adoption throughout Texas. This is a territory-building opportunity that rewards initiative, persistence, and the ability to create new prescribing relationships.
Success requires clinical credibility, disciplined territory management, and the ability to earn trust at every level of a dermatology practice. The ideal candidate knows how to engage dermatologists, advanced practice providers, biologic coordinators, office managers, medical assistants, and other staff whose support makes patient access possible.
This opportunity is especially compelling for an experienced medical dermatology representative who has spent years building physician relationships and now wants to put those relationships to work in a true builder role. Product launch experience is highly valued. You will have meaningful autonomy, direct leadership visibility, strong physician interaction, and the chance to influence how a growing commercial organization enters and develops its markets.
TEXAS TERRITORY OVERVIEW
Dallas is the preferred home base for this territory. The role will prioritize the Dallas–Fort Worth medical dermatology market while developing opportunities in Houston, San Antonio, and other strategically relevant Texas markets. Relevant geographic markets may include:
Dallas urban core: Downtown Dallas, Uptown, Oak Lawn, Highland Park, University Park, Lakewood, and surrounding neighborhoods
North Dallas and northern suburbs: Addison, Richardson, Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Prosper, and Celina
Northeastern Dallas suburbs: Garland, Rowlett, Sachse, Wylie, Rockwall, and surrounding communities
Western Dallas suburbs: Irving, Las Colinas, Coppell, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, and Grapevine
Southern and eastern Dallas suburbs: Mesquite, DeSoto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, and surrounding communities
Fort Worth and Tarrant County: Fort Worth, Arlington, Southlake, Colleyville, Keller, Grapevine, North Richland Hills, and Mansfield
Houston metropolitan area: Houston, The Woodlands, Spring, Sugar Land, Katy, Pearland, Cypress, and surrounding communities
San Antonio metropolitan area: San Antonio, Alamo Heights, Stone Oak, Boerne, Schertz, New Braunfels, and surrounding communities
Additional Texas markets: Denton, Waco, Temple, Killeen, and other communities as business needs warrant
This is a field-first position. Expect to spend four or more days per week meeting with dermatology practices, planning efficient routes across the territory, and traveling overnight when necessary to maximize account coverage. Existing relationships in Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio are a significant advantage, but the ability to open new doors matters just as much as the network you already have.
THE MANDATE
Build and grow the territory
Develop and execute a territory business plan to expand awareness, new prescribing providers, utilization, and long-term growth.
Identify high-potential medical dermatology accounts, prioritize opportunities, and build efficient field routing plans.
Track market dynamics, prescribing trends, competitive activity, and account development opportunities.
Drive clinical education and provider adoption
Educate dermatologists and advanced practice providers on home narrowband UVB phototherapy for psoriasis, eczema, and vitiligo.
Explain how the Phothera platform can fit into existing treatment approaches and practice workflows when clinically appropriate.
Deliver clinical presentations, lunch-and-learns, product demonstrations, and tailored conversations that help practices identify suitable patients.
Become a credible, trusted resource for physicians and their care teams.
Build relationships throughout the practice
Develop relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, biologic coordinators, office managers, prior authorization specialists, and clinical support staff.
Understand the practical barriers that influence treatment adoption, from workflow and patient education to reimbursement and access.
Collaborate with internal patient access and support teams to help practices navigate prescription processes and initiate appropriate patients on therapy.
Generate new business and own the results
Prospect consistently to introduce Phothera to practices not currently utilizing home phototherapy.
Expand utilization within established accounts by engaging additional prescribers and identifying new patient opportunities.
Manage account prioritization, call planning, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and business reviews with an ownership mindset.
Share provider feedback and market intelligence with sales leadership, marketing, commercial operations, and patient access partners.
WHO THRIVES HERE
A medical dermatology relationship builder. You currently call on, or have recently called on, medical dermatologists and know how to earn access, establish credibility, and hold substantive clinical conversations.
A hunter. You enjoy opening doors, developing new prescribers, and creating measurable growth. You are energized by building momentum instead of relying on a mature book of business.
A territory builder. You have launched products, expanded markets, or developed underpenetrated accounts. You can independently prioritize opportunities across a large territory and execute consistently.
A clinical educator. You can discuss disease states, treatment pathways, reimbursement considerations, and complex therapies with confidence, while making information practical for physicians and office teams.
An accountable self-starter. You thrive with autonomy, take ownership of your territory's performance, and know how to turn a thoughtful commercial strategy into measurable results. You are comfortable making decisions independently while staying closely aligned with sales leadership.
