Job Description
This job profile will provide strategic legal guidance and support to senior management and business units to ensure that all company operations, transactions, and policies comply with applicable laws and regulations. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, advising on corporate governance and regulatory issues, managing legal risks, and safeguarding the company's intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Advisory
Advise senior management and internal stakeholders on legal rights, obligations, and potential risks affecting business decisions and operations.
Provide strategic counsel on corporate governance, labor laws, commercial transactions, and other relevant legal matters.
2. Contract Management
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the company's interests.
Ensure contractual terms align with company policies and applicable legal standards.
3. Regulatory Oversight
Ensure the company operates in full compliance with ail relevant laws, regulations, and Industry standards.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise management on implications and necessary adjustments.
4. Risk Management
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks across all business functions and operations.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize legal exposure.
5. Transactional Support
Provide legal due diligence and support for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
Assist in structuring deals and negotiating transaction terms to protect company interests.
6. Intellectual Property Protection
Oversee the registration, maintenance, and enforcement of the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Advise on IP strategy and handle disputes or infringements.
7. Budget and External Counsel Management
Manage legal budgets and coordinate with external law firms when necessary to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal services.
