Role Description
The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established procedures. In this contract, remote role, the Senior Bookkeeper will prepare and review financial statements, manage general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and track income and expenses. The role includes using accounting software to process transactions, monitor cash flow, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The Senior Bookkeeper will also collaborate with management to provide financial insights, assist with budgeting, and help improve internal controls and reporting processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Bookkeeping and Journal Entries (Accounting).
Candidates should possess the ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Accounting Software and a solid understanding of Finance.
Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Relevant experience as a senior or lead bookkeeper, accountant, or similar role is preferred.
A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
