Role Description The Engineering Manager for Canada Opportunities role is a full-time, on-site position based in Canada. The Engineering Manager will lead and mentor a software engineering team working on solutions that support immigration-related services, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with business goals targeting Canadian opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing software development projects, coordinating integration efforts across systems, managing project timelines, and removing delivery blockers for the team. The role involves collaborating with product, operations, and immigration consulting teams to translate requirements into technical plans, while maintaining technical standards, code quality, and best practices. The Engineering Manager will also participate in hiring, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
Candidates should possess hands-on Software Development experience, with the ability to review architecture, code quality, and technical design decisions.
Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver multiple initiatives on schedule and within scope.
Candidates should possess Integration skills to oversee the design and implementation of interfaces between internal and external systems.
Beneficial qualifications include experience in web or cloud-based platforms, familiarity with agile methodologies, and prior work in professional services or consulting environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience managing distributed or cross-functional teams and delivering secure, scalable solutions for international clients is an advantage.
