Cybersecurity Analyst

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Cybersecurity Analyst. The Cybersecurity Analyst will monitor systems and applications that support Google My Business review and reputation services to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing security logs, analyzing potential threats, performing vulnerability assessments, and collaborating with technical teams to implement security controls. The role also involves documenting findings, recommending improvements to security policies and procedures, and helping maintain compliance with relevant security standards. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure that customer data and platform services remain protected and resilient.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Cybersecurity and Application Security to safeguard platforms and services.
Candidates should possess expertise in Network Security and Malware Analysis to detect, analyze, and mitigate threats across systems and infrastructure.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex security data, identify patterns, and make informed recommendations.
Relevant experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response processes is beneficial.
Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and secure coding practices is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment are important.
