Cybersecurity Analyst

Role Description The Cybersecurity Analyst role is a part-time, remote position responsible for protecting the company’s systems, applications, and data that support Google My Business review and reputation services. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring security alerts and logs, analyzing potential threats and vulnerabilities, and supporting incident response activities. The analyst will review and strengthen application and network security controls, conduct basic malware analysis, and assist in security risk assessments. This role also involves documenting findings, collaborating with technical teams to implement security improvements, and helping maintain compliance with internal security policies and best practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Cybersecurity and Analytical Skills to identify, evaluate, and prioritize security risks.
Candidates should possess Application Security skills to help secure web applications, APIs, and related services.
Candidates should possess Network Security skills to configure, monitor, and assess network defenses and traffic.
Candidates should possess Malware Analysis skills to investigate suspicious files or behaviors and support incident response.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of common security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST, ISO 27001) is beneficial.
Experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions is an advantage.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
