Role Description The Network Engineer role is a remote position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructures for client environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; monitoring network performance; and proactively resolving connectivity and latency issues. The Network Engineer will perform root-cause analysis, implement security best practices, and support backup and disaster recovery processes related to network components. The role also involves documenting network architectures, collaborating with consulting and help desk teams on client projects, and recommending improvements to enhance scalability, resilience, and security.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design to plan, build, and optimize complex network architectures.
Candidates should possess solid Network Administration skills to manage devices, monitor performance, and maintain stable operations.
Candidates should possess advanced Network Security skills to implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and security policies.
Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are beneficial.
Experience with routing and switching protocols, cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure), and SD-WAN solutions is advantageous.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, client-focused environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
