Strong knowledge of concrete pouring procedures, underground utilities, and drainage systems is essential. Candidates should have the ability to interpret civil and utility drawings accurately and demonstrate a hands-on approach to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Relevant certifications and a good understanding of inspection and testing procedures, NCR management, and quality documentation are required. Applicants must have full legal rights to work within the EU; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
Oversee quality assurance and inspection activities related to below-ground concrete pours and structural elements to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Inspect underground utilities including drainage systems, ducting, chambers, and associated infrastructure, ensuring they meet design and quality requirements.
Coordinate and facilitate inspections, testing, and sign-offs with site teams, subcontractors, and the principal contractor, maintaining clear communication and documentation.
Review concrete pour records, testing results, material certifications, and other quality documentation to verify adherence to quality standards.
Identify, document, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), defects, and corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution and close-out.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality records, ensuring all documentation is complete, organized, and ready for project handover.
Work collaboratively with Construction, Engineering, Planning, Commercial, and Health & Safety teams to promote quality best practices across the project.
Ensure site teams are working according to the latest approved drawings and construction information, providing guidance and support as needed.
Proactively advise and support site management and subcontractors on quality issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
