Job Summary – Senior Data Migration / ETL Consultant (SAP Transformation) This role will support a major data migration programme moving data from legacy platforms, including mainframe and Majesco systems, into a new SAP environment. The individual will be responsible for designing and executing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring data is accurately extracted, transformed, validated and loaded into target systems while supporting archival and analytics requirements. The consultant will be a hands-on technical specialist rather than a project manager, working closely with engineering and business teams to plan and deliver large-scale migration activities. They will help define migration approaches, support data extraction from existing platforms, load data into SAP, and contribute to data quality, validation and reconciliation activities. The role will play a key part in delivering the organisation's migration strategy over the next 6 months Key Responsibilities • Design and execute ETL processes for complex data migration initiatives. • Extract, transform and load data from legacy systems, including mainframe and Majesco platforms. • Support migration of business and financial data into SAP. • Assist with data mapping, transformation rules and data validation. • Ensure data integrity and quality throughout migration activities. • Support archival and analytics-related data loading requirements. • Collaborate with engineering teams to define migration plans and technical approaches. • Troubleshoot migration issues and optimise data transfer processes. • Provide hands-on technical delivery rather than project or people management. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years' experience in data migration, ETL, or data integration projects. • Previous SAP data migration experience, particularly loading data into SAP environments. • Strong hands-on ETL experience (Extract, Transform, Load). • Experience moving data between enterprise systems. • Experience working with large, complex datasets, ideally including financial or business data. • Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation and reconciliation processes. • Ability to work independently and deliver technical solutions with minimal supervision. • Experience working across multiple legacy and modern technology platforms. Nice to Have • Experience with Majesco platforms. • Mainframe data migration experience. • Insurance/ Finance industry experience. • Experience supporting data archive or analytics platforms. Contract Details • Initial 6-month contract with a likely extension to 12 months. • Preference for UK-based resource. • Budget : no set budget from Allstate - want to see our rates Ideal Candidate Profile A senior, hands-on ETL/Data Migration consultant who has successfully delivered SAP migration projects, understands how to move data from legacy enterprise systems into modern platforms, and can quickly add value without extensive training or management oversight.
