About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) to lead corporate innovation strategy, technology development, business transformation, and long-term growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive executive leadership experience, strong strategic vision, and a proven ability to identify emerging opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and drive organizational growth.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement company-wide innovation strategies aligned with business objectives.
Identify emerging technologies, market opportunities, and new business models.
Lead research, development, and strategic innovation initiatives.
Evaluate innovative products, services, and technology solutions for commercial potential.
Collaborate with executive leadership, technology, finance, product, and operations teams.
Establish innovation priorities, performance metrics, and development roadmaps.
Oversee innovation budgets, resource allocation, and project performance.
Develop strategic partnerships with technology providers, research organizations, and industry leaders.
Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and creative problem-solving.
Evaluate business risks, investment opportunities, and potential returns associated with innovation initiatives.
Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing innovation and development teams.
Provide executive leadership and the board of directors with innovation performance reports and strategic recommendations.
Background and Experience
At least 15 years of experience in innovation management, technology strategy, business development, or executive leadership.
Previous senior leadership experience as a Chief Innovation Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Innovation, or comparable executive.
Proven experience developing and implementing innovation strategies that support business growth.
Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, digital transformation, product innovation, and strategic planning.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex innovation initiatives.
Strong understanding of innovation investment, project evaluation, risk management, and commercialization.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
Ability to manage geographically distributed teams in a remote working environment.
Experience within technology, industrial innovation, or other growth-oriented industries is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
