Purpose:
We are looking for a proficient and passionate Japanese Language Trainer to deliver structured Japanese
language training to candidates aspiring to build careers in Japan. The ideal candidate should have strong
Japanese language proficiency, excellent teaching and communication skills, and the ability to prepare learners for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) examinations and workplace communication.
The role involves conducting classroom training, developing learning materials, assessing student progress,
and ensuring that candidates achieve the required language proficiency for international employment
opportunities.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
1. Japanese Language Training
 Conduct engaging classroom training sessions in Japanese for learners at beginner and intermediate
levels.
 Train candidates in Japanese grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, speaking, and
pronunciation.
 Develop structured lesson plans aligned with the prescribed curriculum and JLPT levels.
 Prepare candidates for JLPT examinations, with a focus on the relevant proficiency levels.
 Incorporate practical conversations, role-plays, and workplace scenarios into training sessions.
2. Curriculum & Content Development
 Develop and update lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, assessments, and practice materials.
 Design training modules aligned with candidate learning objectives and international placement
requirements.
 Use interactive teaching methodologies and digital learning tools to improve learner engagement.
 Maintain consistency in curriculum delivery and training standards.
3. Student Assessment & Performance Management
 Conduct regular tests, mock examinations, assignments, and speaking assessments.
 Track student attendance, participation, learning progress, and proficiency improvement.
 Identify learning gaps and provide individual feedback and remedial support.
 Maintain student performance records and submit periodic progress reports to the training team.
4. Training Operations & Coordination
 Coordinate with the Training Operations team to ensure effective batch planning and timely curriculum completion.
 Maintain training schedules, attendance records, assessment reports, and other required documentation.
 Support student counselling and learning interventions wherever required.
 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare candidates for Japanese workplace culture and professional expectations.
5. Continuous Improvement
 Stay updated on Japanese language teaching practices, JLPT requirements, and relevant learning
resources.
 Contribute to improving training effectiveness, student outcomes, and overall programme quality.
 Support internal assessments and trainer evaluation initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Experience & Background
 Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language, Japanese Studies, Linguistics, Education, or a related discipline. Equivalent qualifications may be considered based on proficiency and experience.
 2–4 years of relevant experience in teaching or training Japanese.
 JLPT N2 certification is mandatory; JLPT N1 is preferred.
 Strong command of Japanese grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
 Prior experience in classroom training, language institutes, vocational training, or employment-oriented
language programmes is preferred.
 Ability to teach learners with varying levels of Japanese language proficiency.

 Student-centric approach with the ability to motivate and engage learners.
 Good assessment, feedback, and performance-tracking skills.
 Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage training schedules and batch deliverables.
 Familiarity with Japanese workplace etiquette and professional communication is an advantage.

 Achievement of planned curriculum completion within the prescribed timeline.
 Improvement in student language proficiency and assessment scores.
 JLPT mock-test performance and examination readiness.
 Student attendance, engagement, and training completion rates.
 Student feedback and training effectiveness scores.
 Accuracy and timely submission of training reports and assessments
