The Role:
At St Monica Trust, we’re a Bristol-based charity supporting older people to live fulfilling, independent lives. Food and hospitality play a vital role in this, bringing people together, supporting health and wellbeing, and creating moments residents look forward to every day.
Join our catering and hospitality team and help create enjoyable dining experiences for our residents in a warm and welcoming environment.

Support the Head Chef by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the village restaurants/cafés, responsible for quality control and ensuring high standards are met and delivered by all staff. Problem solving and troubleshooting customer/visitor concerns escalated by the Head Chefs (Village)
Ensure high standards are consistently met – cleaning areas, preparing food/drinks when required, coordinating staffing rota and maintaining high levels of hospitality
Maintain a continuous restaurant stock and rotation; ensure facilities and equipment are safe and well maintained – reporting faults via set systems as necessary
Build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders - including customers, colleagues, residents and their families
From time to time deputise for the Restaurants Manager and support the recruitment/induction of new members of the hospitality team
Advocate and role model best practice in Health and Safety, Food Handling and Hygiene

Desirable:

Why Join St Monica Trust:

Work in a calm, welcoming environment, not a high-pressure kitchen
Be part of a purpose-driven charity supporting older people
Create meals that genuinely make a difference to residents’ wellbeing
