We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and RESTful APIs.
The candidate should be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and supporting applications in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and maintain scalable, reliable microservices-based applications.
Design, develop, consume, and integrate RESTful APIs.
Deploy, configure, and support cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Work with Kubernetes for application deployment, container orchestration, scaling, and management.
Support application deployments, production releases, monitoring, and incident resolution.
Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Follow coding standards, software engineering best practices, and version control processes.
Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned technical deliverables.
Required Technical Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
Strong experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience designing and developing microservices architectures.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
Experience deploying and supporting applications in production environments.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage technical responsibilities effectively.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Familiarity with GCP services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, and automated testing frameworks.
Familiarity with distributed systems, application security, and cloud-native design principles.
Experience with application monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5 years of professional Java development experience.
Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
