Description supplied by the original job listing.
We are hiring a full-time drone pilot. You will fly survey and mapping missions at project sites across India.
About us: Aerial Intelligence is a drone survey company. We make maps, 3D models and inspection reports for dams, bridges, rivers and other important structures. We work in India, Germany and Portugal.
Your first project: Mapping about 300 km of rivers from the air, starting in early 2027. You will fly about 110 flights in 4–5 weeks, taking off from a new point every 3 km.
What you will do:
Fly a large survey drone with a mapping camera or a LiDAR sensor.
Plan each day's flights, and check the airspace on Digital Sky before every flight.
Set up the RTK base station on survey points.
Check the drone before and after every flight, and keep a flight log.
Charge and take care of the batteries.
Copy and back up the data every evening, and fly again over any missed areas.
Lead a small field team: a co-pilot and a driver
What the work is like: Most of the work is outdoors, near villages and fields. Days are long, six days a week, often in hot sun. You will travel and stay near the project site for weeks at a time. We give you the drones, sensors, batteries and survey equipment.
