About The Role
The Financial Analyst position at Coastal Sunbelt Produce plays a vital role in managing the company's financial health through profit management, forecasting, and reporting. The successful candidate will provide critical insights and analysis of financial operating results, helping to identify trends and offering strategic recommendations to enhance profitability. This role requires a proactive approach to financial planning, expense management, and working capital optimization, supporting senior management in making informed business decisions. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the finance team, including the CFO and local market leaders, to ensure accurate financial forecasts and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at cost control and revenue growth.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
MBA degree is preferred to enhance strategic and managerial capabilities.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or related roles within a corporate environment.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Professional Skills
Exceptional organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced computer skills, including MS Excel and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
Support the finance manager or CFO in ensuring that overall financial trends and the impacts of key initiatives are accurately reflected in forecasts.
Identify underperforming customers and vendors, analyzing the key drivers of profitability and recommending corrective actions.
Quantify the financial impact of cost control initiatives, providing insights to improve margins and reduce expenses.
Assist the local CFO and market CFO in the preparation and review of financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBR) and the annual operating plan (AOP) process, providing detailed financial analysis and insights.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across various departments and operational areas.
