We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Service Engineer to join our team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for solar PV inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site and remote technical support for SOFAR solar inverters, hybrid inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Perform equipment installation inspections, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites.
Support project delivery and commissioning for residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, software, and communication-related technical issues.
Conduct equipment inspections, fault analysis, and necessary repairs or component replacements.
Provide technical training and guidance to distributors, EPC contractors, installers, and end customers.
Coordinate with the regional service team and China headquarters to resolve complex technical issues.
Prepare service reports, commissioning records, and technical documentation.
Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Travel to project sites across assigned territories in India as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in solar PV, inverter systems, energy storage, or electrical field service.
Hands-on experience in solar inverter installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Good understanding of electrical systems, solar PV technology, three-phase inverters, and electrical protection systems.
Experience with C&I or utility-scale BESS, PCS, or energy storage commissioning is highly preferred.
Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with electrical testing instruments and relevant safety procedures.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer communication skills.
Good communication skills in English; Hindi or relevant regional language skills are an advantage.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently for on-site service.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with international technical teams.
